Charlie Chaplin's Impact Upon Us 100 Years Later

Charlie Chaplin was not just a great comedian. Charlie not only wrote one of my favorite songs "Smile", Charlie was also a big supporter of American freedoms. Like our forefathers, Charlie and Gandhi believed in peace and freedom.

Charlie Chaplin arrived in America in 1913, born in 1889, Charlie's influence has been noted time and time again. Yes, I knew who he was but I didn't fully understand the genius until I experienced the effect Charlie had and learned about his life. In my blog entitled Charle Chaplins' Legacy Smile and Peace Amid Rejection and Hatred under Hub Pages.

Numerous stars who have looked to Charlie for artistic creativity and for their values. Charlie's personal philosophy was a direct parallel to Gandhi. I was shocked when I learned that he wrote the song "Smile". I was further shocked when I found out his daughter played his mother in Robert Downey, Jr's film entitled Chaplin. I was shocked again when I found out his daughter played Tonya in Doctor Zhivango.

It is important for me to clarify, I am personally the biggest supporter of America and I take special interest and pride in the young men who have and who currently fight for our freedoms. Charlie lived his life (especially his third chapter) as a warrior for the values of America. I have no quotes, no actions that he was a communist. Many others before me have come to the very same conclusion about Charlie Chaplin's philosophy.
